Our Family

Daniel, Rachel & their team welcome you to the Lion & Lamb! Following an extensive refurbishment, our beautiful pub has been bought back to life and is once again part of the community. Sourcing seasonal local produce & artisan suppliers is our thing! We also have amazing wine, gorgeous cocktails and only the best lagers & ales for you all! There are a variety of wonderful walks surrounding our pub, notably the Flitch Way. We’ve made our extensive bar area dog friendly so that you can make us your start and finish point and relax with a drink and a bite to eat at the end! Travelling to or from Stansted Airport? We are based just 5 minutes drive from the airport so pop in to us before or after your journey for a bite to eat & drink to get you on your way! Did you know we also have a sister pub, The Queens Head Fyfield? Based 10 minutes from the M11 in the heart of the beautiful Essex Countryside, she is a 15th century beauty with a gorgeous riverside beer garden. Come visit us soon! www.queensheadfyfield.co.uk

Updated

Our village pub was closed for six months to undergo major structural work to remove walls and relocate the entrance to open up the pub.

The outside has also been renovated with outbuildings demolished allowing views across the countryside and new garden furniture and lighting installed.

The pub, which has retained its country feel and character, also has a new up-to-date kitchen where a menu of traditional British pub classics, burgers and Sunday roasts are produced.

We welcome the villagers back with open arms (and our new customers travelling from far and wide!).
